Sunflower oil is rich in vitamin E and vitamin A.  This makes it a great choice for moisturizing irritated skin.  The antioxidants in this oil help fight acne-causing bacteria.

You may have seen your grandmother applying olive oil to her face or rubbing it into her hands as a moisturizer.  Olive oil has been used in skincare for years and rightfully so.  It brings to the table many vitamins such as A, D, E, and K as well as antioxidant and antibacterial properties.

Coconut oil’s high fatty-acid content helps it seal in moisture.  That makes it’s emollient capabilities even better.  Coconut oil has been used for many years in many organic skincare products and for good reason.  It has even been shown to have antibacterial properties.

Cocoa butter is high in fatty acids.  This attribute lends to its ability to nourish and hydrate skin, also improving elasticity.  It is packed with antioxidants that help fight damage-causing free radicals, giving cocoa butter anti-aging properties as well.

Hemp seed oil has the ability to moisturize without clogging the pores, allowing it to assist in moderating oil production and making it a great choice for most skin types.  The omega 6 fatty acids found in hemp seed oil act as an anti-inflammatory while stimulating cell growth and regeneration. Hemp oil has been shown to prevent signs of aging and reduce fine lines and wrinkles

Henna improves hair health by sealing the cuticle and preventing breakage thereby increasing shine.  It is useful in treating dandruff.  In addition, henna has been shown to help with hair loss.  The antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties henna brings to the table improve skin health and act to keep the skin looking young and healthy.

Hibiscus flowers contain amino acids that produce the protein, keratin, making your hair stronger and healthier.  Studies have shown that not only does hibiscus help prevent hair loss, but can also promote hair growth.  Hibiscus contains antioxidants and vitamins that are necessary for the manufacture of melanin.  This means these lovely flowers can also help delay the graying of hair.  These antioxidants are also key in helping the skin recover from sun damage.  The slight acidity of hibiscus flowers provides a gentle exfoliating element that can help smooth out your complexion and reduce age spots.
