**Sodium hydroxide is necessary to saponify oils into soap.  It is all used up in the process and none remains in the final product.

Sunflower oil is rich in vitamin E and vitamin A.  This makes it a great choice for moisturizing irritated skin.  The antioxidants in this oil help fight acne-causing bacteria.  Safflower oil carries many of these same properties.

You may have seen your grandmother applying olive oil to her face or rubbing it into her hands as a moisturizer.  Olive oil has been used in skincare for years and rightfully so.  It brings to the table many vitamins such as A, D, E, and K as well as antioxidant and antibacterial properties.

Coconut oil’s high fatty-acid content helps it seal in moisture.  That makes it’s emollient capabilities even better.  Coconut oil has been used for many years in many organic skincare products and for good reason.  It has even been shown to have antibacterial properties.

Castor oil has been an age old remedy for skin issues.  It is known to have anti-aging properties, lessening the appearance of wrinkles.  Being anti-inflammatory brings relief from sunburn and other irritants.  It has high vitamin E, fatty acid, and omega 6 content, promoting overall skin health.

Goat’s milk acts as a light exfoliater.  The use of lactic acid can help regulate skin turnover and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne.  It is full of skin-loving vitamins and minerals.
